Rushcliffe residents on a low income will benefit from a reduction in their council tax as part of the government's response to COVID-19.
More than 1,800 taxpayers will now receive a reduction in their council tax bill for the 2020/21 financial year.

In the Budget the government announced it would provide local authorities with a hardship fund, which has seen Rushcliffe Borough Council be allocated £515,389.
Leader of the Council Cllr Simon Robinson said: “We’re pleased to announce that under this fund we will be initially awarding a maximum of £150 per household, who are in receipt of Council Tax Reduction from 1 April 2020, towards their Council Tax bill.”
Many households are currently concerned about how they are going to continue paying the bills during the Coronavirus crisis, especially if they are unable to work due to the government’s current movement restrictions.
