Residents in Wollaton are concerned about the increase in traffic, once the new housing development on Woodyard Lane is completed.
Woodyard Park off Lambourne Drive is the latest development in the area by Avant Homes.
Avant Homes are currently nearing completion of their Martin’s Reach development, which was built on the site of former allotments.
110 houses are being built of the former Siemens factory site. Avant Homes have also proposed that 10% of the homes will be affordable.

Residents have already seen an increase in builders’ traffic, with signs now in place directing deliveries to the site after lorries had been entering the nearby Tom Blower Close.
Although there is further concerns about traffic once the houses are built.
Lynn Gaskell, 47 of Wollaton said: “The lorries from the old Siemens site caused a lot of problems, due to their noise and the impact they had on the lane, now we have the prospect of cars traveling up this small lane daily.”
The stretch of Woodyard Lane where the development is being built leads to the footpath which connects Wollaton with Beechdale via the railway bridge.

Steve Matthew, 59, of Wollaton said: “I understand we need to build new homes, but access to the new estate must be improved before people move in. Street lighting is also poor, and youths often meet on the railway bridge.”
A spokesperson for Avant Homes said: “We understand residents’ concerns surrounding increased volumes of traffic whilst works are undertaken at Woodyard Park and we are implementing all the necessary measures to ensure any impact is minimised. This will include some alterations and improvements to public highways to assist local traffic movement, which have been agreed as part of our planning conditions.
The site has also undergone a traffic assessment by the local planning authority and an approved traffic management plan is in place to mitigate the impact of additional traffic created by the development both during and after works are completed.”
